In partnering with the Oregon School District and the community, we hope to provide the resources needed to remove barriers to learning and promote engagement in school for all students.

Our name.

We chose "Friends of Oregon School District" because we feel this name best describes our mission which is to support and partner with our schools to eliminate basic need barriers to learning.

What we have learned.

Through research and data, conducting listening sessions and learning through the work over the last eight years, we've identified that basic need barriers to learning in the Oregon School District fall within these four categories:

• Hunger

• Transportation

• Technology

• Adult Role Models/Mentors
